Overdue post, omg everyone who performed at the #newparishoakland for #jonimitchellblue concert was PHENOMENAL!! . @yvettepylant’s ridiculously gorgeous range beautifully shown on #carey (complete with #johnmonahan on mountaindulcimer), both @katystephan & @cavamenzies ‘s unreal piano playing, Katy’s lovely rendition of #myoldman, @_sarracha heart wrenching performance of #river , and even a surprise performance from @marahruby was all so beautifully done! . @lilankane thank you for sharing info about this show, what a beautiful evening of music! Put together this little tribute video for the beautiful Chameleon Brenden Foster from his years in @osavocalrush (full video link in bio) It features his STUNNING vocals on a flawless performance of "Whatcha Say," one of the four tracks on Vocal Rush's debut EP. Most of the footage isn't great (except for the stellar video work of Rob Limon and Leo da Silva), but it's honest and captures his spirit and energy. I have such wonderful memories of those first two years of Vocal Rush; I've said before that I would ALWAYS hold dear to my heart those first kids who auditioned for a group that didn't yet exist, with a brand new director. Brenden was one of them. Full of light and positivity and humor and kindness and capital "L" Love. 🎶💜🌈 Brenden, I love you SO much and am immensely grateful for your contributions to my life, to Vocal Rush, to our OSA community, and to the world. Throwing it back today with one of the sweetest memories I have of my two worlds colliding. Last year my blood family and my Berklee family got to meet at a little intimate concert I threw just to celebrate that the Berklee journey had come to an end. We sang together, ate together and laughed and cried together. These amazing humans and musicians, those who sang, those who attended made this very moment what it was.
