Everyone gets hit. What matters is what you do next. 🥊

Matthew 5:38-39 (ESV) — Jesus flips the script on “an eye for an eye.” He says don’t retaliate. Turn the other cheek.

Here’s what most people miss: a slap on the cheek back then wasn’t about pain — it was about disrespect. Jesus wasn’t telling us to be weak. He was telling us not to let someone else’s disrespect control how we react.

Watch any fighter who loses his temper mid-fight. He’s not fighting the game plan anymore — he’s fighting the insult. The one who stays calm? He’s still in control.

Real strength isn’t hitting the hardest. It’s not needing to hit back every time someone tries to get under your skin.

This isn’t about self-defense or competing — Scripture treats that separately (Romans 13, Nehemiah 4). This is about pride, revenge, and who’s really in control when you get hit — physically or otherwise.

Which fighter are you — the one who fights mad, or the one who stays in control? 👇

MEDITATION MONDAY ✝️🔥

The reason many Christians lose peace… has nothing to do with their circumstances.

Stephen shows us why.

As he was being stoned (Acts 7), he wasn’t fixed on the stones or the crowd — he was fixed on Jesus, standing at the right hand of God.

His peace didn’t come from his circumstances changing. It came from where his eyes were.

Same principle applies to you today: eyes on the trial → fear grows. Eyes on Jesus → faith grows.

Tag someone walking through a trial right now. They need this. 👇

Follow @CovenantCombat for more Christ-centered content on faith, discipline, and combat. ⚔️

⚔️ Strength isn’t the goal. Stewardship is.

“Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” — Psalm 144:1

David recognized that every ability he had came from God.

As Christians, we don’t train to intimidate others or glorify violence. We train with discipline, humility, and self-control—ready to protect, to serve, and to honor Christ in everything we do.

At Covenant Combat, we believe the goal isn’t simply to build better fighters. It’s to build men and women of character whose strength is submitted to God.

Train your body. Guard your heart. Glorify Christ.

I wrote this song at 3AM after watching someone’s testimony on IG live. You’d be surprised when and how a song can come to you. Gotta try and perform it more next year .

This moment was special to me. But not for reasons you would think. Growing up in a musical family performing was a regular thing to my brothers and I. I had performed all my life up until the end of college. When Covid hit and performances stopped it took about 3 years for me to be on stage consistently again. And I can definitely say now this it is a muscle. It’s something that you can forget how to operate if you don’t work it.

I’d like to thank @officialceogman and @whoisjwhite for giving me some platforms again this year and pushing me to be better.Looking forward to continuing to grow this thing.

I also wanna give glory to Jesus for releasing me back on stage. Regardless of how big or small the moment is you have to internalize it. Don’t let the world tell you only big moments are worth celebrating.
