This series stages a body caught between softness and threat, wrapped in symbols of care that operate more like instruments of control. Pacifiers mute, plush toys restrain, and lace—traditionally a marker of purity—becomes a suffocating second skin. Every “gentle” object leaks an undercurrent of danger. The work visualizes a psychological tension rooted in early development: the unstable border between care and intrusion. The nursery becomes a theatre where dependency is eroticized, where the aesthetics of cuteness—designed to evoke vulnerability and protection—reveal their latent aggres- sion. Dolls, teddy bears, and infantile accessories are no longer innocuous. They appear as prosthetics, parasites, or armor, blurring the line between play and discipline. Their softness becomes a surface on which power inscribes itself. What is “innocent” is exposed as a costume—performed, exaggerat- ed, and weaponized.
