What is creatine? 🏋🏾‍♀️🎧💪🏾 Creatine is a natural energy source for muscles that helps them work efficiently during exercise. What is the most common type of creatine supplement? Creatine monohydrate enhances muscle performance during short-duration, high-intensity exercises like weightlifting, sprinting, and bicycling. Other forms of creatine do not provide similar benefits. What happens when you start taking creatine? Creatine is converted into phosphocreatine which helps create ATP, a source of energy that your cells use when you exercise. This helps maintain a continuous energy supply to your muscles during intense lifting or exercise. Creatine not only provides extra energy but also helps in increasing muscle growth. In addition, it has several other benefits. ✨Speed up muscle recovery. You create micro-tears in your muscle fibers when you exercise. As your muscles recover, these micro-tears heal and make your muscles stronger. Creatine helps to activate satellite cells in your muscles, which can help heal the micro-tears. ✨Increase anabolic hormones. Insulin, human growth hormone (hGH), estrogen and testosterone are endocrine hormones that stimulate growth and repair. ✨Boost water content in muscle cells. Proper cell hydration can lead to an increase in muscle growth and a decrease in dehydration and muscle cramps. ✨Creatine can also increase the amount of phosphocreatine in your brain, which may help with your memory. Make sure you drink plenty of water! 💦 #gym #gymchicks #fitness #fitnessmotivation #gymmotivation #motivation #fitnesstips #gymtips #fitmom #fitmomlife #hotmom #bodybuilding #buildingmuscle #muscle #gym #fitnessmotivation #workoutmotivation #workoutroutine #backday #workoutroutine #legday #workoutoftheday #workoutwithme
