WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME... EMIRATES FA CUP EDITION Southend United 4 - 1 Folkestone Invicta Southend had a smooth game to reach the Emirates FA Cup 1st Round Proper for the 2nd year in a row. After dominanting most of the Half. @_slavi9s got his first of the game with a clean finish courtesy of great footwork by @leonparillon . We doubled our lead not long after as @gus_scott_morriss hung a great ball in the air for @b.goody5 to convert with a lovely header. Then 10 minutes before the break @harry_boyes whipped in a lovely ball from a free kick for Slavi to get his brace. A back and forth 2nd half saw Wembley 2015 hero Joe Pigott score on his Roots Hall return before Josh Walker put the finishing touch on the game with a deflected shot to make it 4 - 1 and put Southend in the hat for the 1st Round Proper. #southend #southendunited #facup #emiratesfacup #videography

I’ve been quiet on here for a while… but there’s a lot of story behind the person you see today. 🫶🏾 Football was my life. ⚽️ I spent 14 years playing professional football, experiencing the highs, the lows, the friendships and the lessons that stay with you forever. Then a serious knee injury brought my playing career to an end. Something I’d given so much of my life to was suddenly gone. But I wasn’t ready to stop. I studied Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning, turning my experience as a player into a new passion for helping others perform, improve and become the best version of themselves. Then life threw me another challenge. Kidney failure. Dialysis. And eventually, a kidney transplant. ❤️‍🩹 It changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. It taught me patience, perspective, gratitude and what it really means to fight for your health. Getting back into fitness wasn’t just about building my body again. It was about rebuilding confidence, mentally, finding purpose and proving to myself that my journey wasn’t over. Today, my passion is helping others whether they’re athletes chasing performance goals or people living with illness who want to feel stronger, healthier and more confident. Because being your best version doesn’t mean being perfect. It means making the most of what you have, where you are, and never giving up on yourself. My journey is still ongoing, and I’m grateful to be here to share it. If you’re facing your own challenges, I hope my story reminds you that your circumstances don’t have to define your future. This is me. This is my journey. And this is the next chapter. 🫶🏾 #FormerProfessionalFootballer #StrengthAndConditioning #KidneyTransplant #FitnessJourney #fypシ

As my time at Southend United comes to an end, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and say thank you. What a season and what an unforgettable way to finish this chapter making history, winning, and being part of the team that ended the club’s 120 year wait for a domestic trophy. Firstly, thank you to every single player for all the hard work, commitment and standards you brought every single day. Together, you helped make us one of - if not the fittest teams in the league, and the numbers and data back that up. To those moving on and those still at the club, it’s been a privilege to be part of your journey and to see the progress made along the way. Keep pushing, keep believing and go make yourselves proud this coming season. Wishing every one of you nothing but success moving forward. I’m grateful for the experiences, the people and the memories made along the way. Wishing everyone at the club nothing good times moving forward. As one chapter closes, another begins and I’m excited for what the next journey has in store.
