2024….one of the hardest years I had to face. you were filled with trauma, grief, and loss. there were days that i did not think i could move forward, where i was stuck in a stand-still. throughout this year, i had the best support system i could’ve asked for. you all made me embrace the happy moments even when i thought there couldn’t be any.
thank you to my family being there for me every second, and dropping everything in their life to make sure im okay. thank you to my friends who constantly checked on me, especially my bestie for letting me “live” with her for 5 weeks. thank you to the family members ive gained this year, it took a huge loss to bring us together, but im glad you’re here now.

i lost my brother, father, and great grandmother all in one year. i miss you all tremendously. until we meet again.
2025…..you better be a hell of a great year.

Heard some news that made me sad today. It’s the last Thanksgiving game of a storied rivalry this year. Perth amboy vs Carteret. If you knew me in high school or even after you may have heard my defining moment in my sports history. A 3 win panther team had a home game in 1996 vs an undefeated eventual state champ. We went into double overtime and after they scored the kicker missed the extra point and the entire sideline looked at me. The year prior our team could’ve made the states but I hadn’t played yet. And it was because the kicking game wasn’t strong. After we scored it was 41-41. Coach Stinson walked over to the huddle as the other team called timeout. Said we keep playing if you don’t make it. Smiling through my mouthpiece he looked at me and said why are you smiling. “Coach I’ve been waiting for this my whole life” he threw his headset and said ok go make it then and walked away saying the kicker is nuts with his hands pointing to the sky. Banged it. Knew as it left my foot... game over. (The crowd goes wild) State champs were 11-1 that year. I’m thankful for that moment and many others. It’s one I’m extremely proud of. Go get that trophy panthers and put it in our case forever.
