Here's a simple recipe to make Bombay Halwa:

*Ingredients*

- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 4-5 cardamom pods
- 2-3 cloves
- A pinch of saffron threads (optional)

*Instructions*

1. *Prepare the sugar syrup*: Combine sugar, water, and saffron threads (if using) in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.
2. *Roast the cornstarch*: In a separate pan, dry roast the cornstarch over low heat, stirring constantly, until it turns light brown and gives off a nutty aroma.
3. *Make the halwa*: In a large, heavy-bottomed pan, heat the ghee over medium heat. Add the roasted cornstarch and stir well.
4. *Add the sugar syrup*: Gradually pour the sugar syrup into the cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
5. *Cook the halwa*: Continue cooking the halwa over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and turns translucent.
6. *Add cardamom and cloves*: Add the cardamom pods and cloves to the halwa and stir well.
7. *Finish and serve*: Remove the pan from the heat and let the halwa cool slightly. Serve warm, garnished with chopped nuts or dried fruit, if desired.

*Tips and Variations*

- To enhance the flavor, add a few drops of rosewater or kewra essence to the halwa.
- Experiment with different flavor combinations, such as adding a pinch of salt or a teaspoon of grated ginger.
- For a creamier halwa, add a tablespoon or two of heavy cream or milk.
- To make individual servings, pour the halwa into small molds or cups and refrigerate until set.#cook #trinding #viral
