POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Summer was a bit different this year. I quit a job of 9 years. I followed around a band called @goosetheband for 10 days through Canada and the PNW. @jamieplaysoutside and I celebrated Gray’s 13th birthday. I got to connect with my oldest friend @dlemc2. I was able to see an icon (and someone who means more than they know), @begforforgiveness in Vancouver and one of the best humans @_spacecase in Portland. I met a new friend who I felt like I had known forever @dennis_bryant623 and see the Amish Woodworker @stephendenmark. At the end of it all, my life changed a lot, but only my identity through my job. Through thick and thin, @jamieplaysoutside has been by my side through all of it, and for that, I can take a deep breath and exhale and say I’m one blessed human.

Weird, wild and wonderful summer 2026.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🔦

Casey Mitchell - Mt. Hood Team Snowboard Coach

“My name is Casey Mitchell and I’m a snowboarder. I grew up in western North Carolina, and I’ve been on and around Mt Hood since 2012.

I’ve been snowboarding for 22 years now, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I’m eternally grateful to the snowboard community for giving me a place to call home and friends that are like family.

I’m excited to share my time and experience on the mountain with the younger generation of boarders in the hopes that they can find that same feeling.”

We’re super excited for Casey to join the team and help grow the program. Come ride with Casey from December 5 to March 22 🔥
