I am SERIOUSLY out of the outside habit. When the overstimulation hit and I was tired from explaining that if you hit someone, they’ll probably hit you back…I realized 💡…we hadn’t been outside in TOOOOO long. So we stepped out the door and had a GRAND time.

This week, I’m choosing the cold air for all of our sanity. Who’s in?!

Also, I cannot recommend picking up trash ENOUGH! The @responsiblestewardship October #erasethetracechallenge is a blast for us. We are the micro trash royalty: lots of bags, only about 9.12 pounds this week. But hey - it’s like backpacking…every ounce counts!!!!

Whoever said biking was easy, never has had to hike-a-bike before…

But it was sure worth it to go climbing at Otter Cliffs!

This past year, I have had the opportunity to work with several brands and I thought I’d showcase some of my favorite photos. Thanks to every one of these companies for taking a chance with me! 🤝

• Hotsprings Hoggan is what they call us •

Took baby girl to this natural springs. Yes you have to cross the freezing cold river to get there. She absolutely loved it. She laughed the whole time I was crossing the river. Then she loved playing in the mud. This was her 4th hot springs she has been too.

We are really big on just bring the baby with. It also helps she loves being outside. This girl wakes up and asked to go outside.

Hot springs tips:
1- don’t forget the towels
2- With a baby it’s smooth when one parent gets out and dressed. Then get the baby dressed. No one is standing in the cold.
3- brings a bad for wet clothes
4- don’t wear clothes then you have no wet cloths to carry out. (If acceptable and you are comfortable )
We were the only ones here so opted for no clothing. Easier with the baby.
5- not a tip just remember to treat nature with respect. Respects others and stay quiet.
6- pack it in lack it out always!! If you see trash also pick that up!

I have 2 Mellys and I’ve never been to Leadville but contrary to popular belief they aren’t the only ones who make this style. I also have 2 Squaks and a Lightheart Gear microgrid fleece as well.

If you’re into the Melly hype, no shade! I’m sure it’s a fun experience. But if you’re like me and want something just as cozy without the wait or the road trip... check out @_squak
you can even get 15% off with code KENZIE15. I am not sure it gets much better than that.

Maine pt 4 (aka the final post as I look back on a great vacation)

We’re home. 😔 We had a lovely last few days in Maine. After hearing the Friends of Acadia talk in the carriage roads, we took their suggestion and we on the Eagle Lake Carriage Road for our last hike of the park (and Rachael got her wish of matching outfits!). Then we headed out with Revolution Rail Company for a railroad bike ride (such a unique experience! @revrailco) before settling into Brunswick for the evening with a meal at Enoteca Athena (Lori’s favorite meal of the trip). Our last day in Maine we filled with hikes at the Swinging Bridge and Wolf’s Neck state park and some delicious meals including savory blueberry pizza and a flight of dumplings.

Happiness is fall leaves, a quiet campsite, and hanging out with my furry friends.
