“Becoming LEON” premieres tonight at the New York Latino Film Festival @nylatinofilmfestival About a year ago today we started production on a rollout for @chavileons EP, LEON. I never officially “retired” but for some reason after this fight I had a feeling it was the last one. I gave up everything to go on this journey and become a professional mma fighter. I had bigger goals but I wasn’t able to get there. I failed, like I have before many times. And I’m ok with that bc I gave it my all. Sometimes life has a way of showing you when it’s time to move on from something. There are so many great people who I’ve met through fighting and so many people who have helped me and supported me along the way. Thank you 🫶 This girl gave up a lot for me to pursue this path. She never stopped believing in me or supporting me even when it wasn’t looking good or times got tough. We sacrificed a lot and gave it all we had. We went on this journey together and she was by me every step of the way. One of a kind 🖤 We did a guided meditation before my LFA fight in a badass pool area. Vibes Team First day at the new job This feeling of exhaustion after 15 min of fighting is crazy. Although it’s a bit better when you win Pre fight dinner. These ladies liked the handsome Brazilian and the guy with good hair. On my way to go throw up after my pro debut. Bink My mom couldn’t watch me fight lol but this crew always showed up for me. Camera was making us all look diced. I was skinny af Flew out to Vegas for Dans UFC fight a few days after my last ammy fight. I think I had stitches above my eye. Dan put me in rooms with some of the best in the sport, rooms i didn’t belong in at my level. and gave me access to every opportunity he had. The crew for my last ride. Pweezy hopped in the car with my dad at like 5am to get there the day of my fight. Coach space took point. A young Mario on his first mission.
