Each of us contributes in our own way to building a better world. I’m glad to have animated every detail of this project, which sheds light on the issue of abandoned fishing nets in the ocean (ghost fishing), achieving a technically-driven motion graphics piece alongside the professionalism and vision of @_storystudio

From our very first t-shirt, to animation, and finally a vinyl figure, big thanks to @yeyeweller for bringing this character to life.

Before Catbob was formed, I had a vision of the Bad Apple tee, and Yeye Weller was my primary choice for the design and illustration. Yeye appreciated that our clothing is ethically produced in Canada, and because of that, we were able to bring this collaboration to fruition. The Bad Apple tee remains our most popular and beloved tee still to this day.

Special thanks to everyone that helped along the way!

it's always nice how wonderful things develop when you work with great people. in this case it all started with a sketch and developed into a shirt design, an animation and finally a 3d vinyl figure. thanks to everyone who was involved.

The Flashlight Project
We can say that we saved the best for last (in 2022). As soon as Final Frontier came to us with this adventure project, we were already on our way.
Because when it comes to challenges, this project had all the seasonings: make the last video of a series of 6 chapters where each one would be directed by a different director. But, the cherry on top, the last one had to incorporate the aesthetics of all of them and make them coexist.
This meant not only let our imagination fly as never before, but also put together the best team possible in order to offer a mix of aesthetics with a mix of techniques: 2D animation, motion graphics, cell animation, 3D and live action.
The result speaks for itself and we are very proud of having gone through it to get to this point. Many thanks to all the team involved who got on board with us in this adventure and gave their best.
The Flashlight Project is finally out, and we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did to make it.

#2danimation clean line walking test!

There’s still some corrections to be done (I.e: check if the steps bounce is right or should be reduced). This tease is part of a really interesting project we are working for the artist @m_phirik_oficial and his song (the one in the video), check his work out.

We hope to show it to the world soon, until then stay tuned (here)

During these difficult times, we came to the conclusion that together we can make the world a better place. In our fourth collaboration, we feel that we have formed a collective of united artists from all over the world with just one common desire: to bring you a little bit of joy and hope.

Mark Conlan (aka @markconlan) is an illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. We are huge fans of his work!

We animated one of his illustrations: “Inside her mind”.

Last but not least, we would like to thank Nico (@maks.nico) for his magic touch with his music and sound design.

Enjoy!
