🏄‍♀️ Give these girls some love. 🙌 At our recent SurfAid Cup at Bondi we had a team of extraordinary young surfers enter the Cup, and we are so proud of them. It takes courage to show up and surf in a male-dominated event where most competitors are more than twice your age.⁠

The @bondisurfagirls made up of @tara_jeev @_nais_b @_sum.r & Macy, have been friends since primary school and they first fell in love with surfing after taking part in surfing lessons at school through @letsgosurfingaustralia.⁠
⁠
The girls were initially looking online to check out the @wsl when they stumbled across SurfAid. Upon discovering SurfAid they instantly decided they wanted to jump on board and be a part of the SurfAid community - and they raised a whopping $5,218 to support SurfAid by hosting garage sales, a BBQ, making and selling bracelets, and creating a platform on Instagram to ask for donations and share their journey.⁠

We asked the team who inspires them in the surf and the girls mentioned they’ve been lucky enough to meet @naughty_pauls @lauraenever @rissmoore10 @bethanyhamilton and @stephaniegilmore, and they found all these women to be kind and inspiring. We’re sure these ladies would say exactly the same of you girls and your efforts.⁠

Congratulations on diving right in girls, we can’t wait to have you back in the water for the SurfAid Cup Bondi 2022 - and we’re confident you’ve inspired others to have a go too.⁠
