I’m so grateful to have worked with @jessicamillertomlinson in the piece “Inherent Textures”. Thank you for trusting us with your work and process. And a huge thanks to the entire @dancingwithfrancisco team for putting it all together.

To my roomies: I love you guys! I had the best time dancing and living life together in Santa Fe. I couldn’t have imagined ending my summer any other way :)

Is it September already? Just a little over one month from Zeitgeist Dance Theatre's 'An Evening of Contemporary Dance'.

The sixth and final work we are highlighting from this summer's Zeitgeist Dance Theatre and New Century Dance Project Ensemble concert at The Lensic Performing Arts Center on August 1, is from Choreographic Fellow Jessica Tomlinson Miller.
“Inherent Texture” is a contemporary ensemble work that serves as an abstract exploration of texture. The piece examines the emotional responses elicited by interactions between others and self—and the qualities that arise from combining diverse elements within our relationships. It investigates how each relationship possesses a distinctive character or set of essential qualities that render it unique.
The choreography explores foreground versus background, treating the group as a unified whole while isolating individual elements from their context. This approach resonates with artistic traditions such as pointillism, mosaic, and divisionism, in which the impact of individual parts can surpass the effect of the whole. The work highlights the distinctive patterns found in everyday life and the unique textures of the dancers’ relationships as concrete exemplars of these elements.

Introducing our Third group of outstanding dancers accepted into The Preprofessional Dancer Institute Class of 2026.

Artistic Directors: @franciscogelladance & @missjulie1220

For Dancers Pursuing Big Dreams
September 3 -September 7, 2026

We are getting excited for the start of the Preprofessional Dancer Institute (PDI) in New Mexico over Labor Day Weekend, where for five exhilarating days, 100 extraordinary young artists from across the globe gather. We cannot wait to celebrate the magic of movement and the limitless possibilities PDI holds in New Mexico.

Dancers train in concert, show, and commercial dance, alongside improvisation, partnering, men’s class and pointe (for everyone) within a rigorous and varied schedule that equips dancers with the tools of endurance, focus, and adaptability, that they will need heading out to the professional dance world.

Additionally, workshops and discussions are geared toward career related issues, providing dancers and their families with knowledge that can better aid them in their preparation.

Congrats for your outstanding achievement, dancers!
