We are excited to announce this new monthly offering! Join local poets Wil & Susanna Gibson for a monthly writing workshop centered on self-reflection, growth, and the legacy we leave behind. Through guided prompts, we’ll explore writing as a tool for healing - processing grief, trauma, and the inner workings of our creative selves. Feedback is offered to those who request it, and encouragement for all. These workshops with take place the first Mondays of each month from 5:30-7:30PM. For those who’d like, finished pieces can be submitted to the next Swimming With Elephants anthology: When I Die. Come as you are! Bring a notebook and a pen. Registration is free, and $5-$25 donations are appreciated in person at the event. Sign up via our website, go to the “Groups” tab and look for Grounded in Poetry. ✍️

Introducing Isis, my sweet kitten (aka Larry from Tulare), nicknamed after where she was rescued in some bushes outside my friends Wil and Susana Gibson's hotel when they were on tour (they are amazing poets). I had just applied for a kitten at a nearby shelter but they had none available. Then I saw Susan's Instagram post about this little fur angel. It felt like magic the way she was hand delivered to me 500 miles from where she started!
