@meeraoakira_cafemoa hosted a gathering for a group of friends .
The space and the Menu waa curated by us , and the the beautiful ladiescabd one special gentleman a guest brought their beauty , energy and immersive singing .
Celebrating Tagore ....
Yet the Menu was such 😊
Yes Ranindranath tagore genuinely enjoyed european food and incorpirated it into his eclectic lyfestyle .
He loved pies, patties, roasts and soup .
On his travels to Europe,England , turkey he would collect menucards from high society dinners abd buffets and carry them back to be replicated by cooks at his ancestral home in kolkata.
He even createdva "khamkheyali shabha " , to discuss these culinary tales and encouraged his nieces abd ladies of the house to experiment . Thus was born the Thakurbarir ranna an amalgamation of travel , stories and inheritance .

So no the Menu was not all bangali.
The mood was absolutely Tagore .
The melody and the rhythm made this Edit so special .
All my percussion instruments were put to use ..
What an intoxicating energy it was .

The videos follow .
I cannot not share them

To truly sing Tagore is to first understand him..

“People often sing Rabindra Sangeet without truly understanding their meaning, and as a result, they end up expressing something completely different from what the song actually intends. I feel Rabindra Sangeet should first be read, understood, and then sung.”

Feel it. Understand it. Then create it.

Not everything should be made casually, some things deserve depth. To truly create something, you should understand it deeply, study it, and feel its depth before doing it.
