Part of my soul left me yesterday morning. @esthermakauphotography went to heaven to join her maker and her mama, peacefully, after battling stage IV colon cancer for just over a year. I’ll never understand why this wretched deceased chose you.
You are one of the greatest loves of my lifetime. I’m so thankful to have met you three short years ago but It wasn’t long enough.
I will make you proud in all I do - as a mother, a wife, a friend, a boss, and a servant to others. You will live on through me.

If you knew Esther, which everyone here will, you know she is goodness, she is strength, she is light, she is laughter, she is wisdom, she is a sister, a mother, a daughter.

“Always” the last word we shared, and I hope you know you are forever a part of me.

It all began with the dress.

When our bride chose a floral Monique Lhuillier gown, it became the inspiration for the entire celebration.

Every design decision was thoughtfully layered from there, pulling the soft garden palette, romantic movement, and painterly florals from her gown into every moment of the day. From the ceremony overlooking the Texas Hill Country to the striped floral installation that framed dinner, every detail felt like a natural extension of the gown that inspired it all.

One of our favorite reminders that the most beautiful weddings don’t begin with trends. They begin with a story. 🤍🌸
