Nearly twenty years after working on ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ Music Supervisor Julia Michels returned to create a soundtrack that matched the cultural impact of the original iconic film.

Comprising of three original songs from Lady Gaga, including “Runway,” a duet with Doechii, the hit song “Material Lover” by breakout star Sienna Spiro, “Walk of Fame” by Miley Cyrus, and “End of an Era” by Dua Lipa - Julia brings together some of today’s most powerful female pop stars to create a soundtrack that embodies the essence of Prada.

This Saturday I’ll be running a workshop on synthesis with @_the_scl here in Chicago, using this system I just put together. I am currently running through its paces, and have already found many cinematic sounds, but this ring mod effected random sequence really spoke to me. Come join us this weekend, and brush up your synth skills, or learn to get started!

For Your Grammy Consideration - “Marvel’s Deadpool VR” for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media. Score by Composer Christopher Young and Co-Composer Gil Young.

Best known for scoring many of Hollywood’s iconic horror and superhero films, including ‘Hellraiser,’ ‘Sinister,’ ‘Drag Me to Hell,’ ‘Ghost Rider,’ and ‘Spider-Man 3,’ Christopher took a bold new turn with ‘Deadpool VR’ – fusing cinematic orchestration with frenetic, immersive game music. Across nearly four hours of music, the soundtrack explodes with progressive-rock energy, warped electronics, and a powerhouse orchestra, delivering a score that’s as chaotic and unpredictable as the game itself.

Christopher co-wrote the score with his son, Gil, who also performed all of the drums, guitar, and bass featured on the soundtrack.

Voting for the 2027 Grammys is open now through October 22.

After a year of meetings we finally launched and it was awesome. I'm proud to be member of this excellent group of people (including @paulmylesfarrer and @david.tobin_music) who are the Steering Group of new SCL UK Chapter (not able to tag him but the second photo is me having a total fanboy moment introducing the amazing Daniel Pemberton and his music from Project Hail Mary arranged for the @herensemblemusic )
