Aug 21-22 Friday night into Saturday morning men from across NSW gathered in Sydney to participate in the Camino of St Joseph men’s overnight pilgrimage.

Organised by the @maximus_mens_ministry_network the pilgrimage began with Adoration and Benediction followed by Mass at St Patrick’s Churchill. A statue of St Joseph was then carried during a procession to the next from Wynyard through to St Brennan’s Annandale, St Joseph’s Camperdown, St Benedict’s Broadway, St Peter’s Surry Hills, St Canice’s Elizabeth Bay and ending at St Mary’s Cathedral followed by Mass and breakfast.

7 Churches. 9 hours. 11 herniated disks. Over 1000 participants. 150000 blisters.

Deo Gratias!

🎓 MEET THE MENTOR: Richie Leilua 🎓

Creative? ✅
Perseverant? ✅
Evangelising? ✅ (Especially with a hot chocolate in hand…)

Richie is a passionate member of Good Shepherd Parish, Plumpton, and lives out his faith through creativity, perseverance, and a commitment to evangelisation. When he’s not involved in parish life, he’s enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate. 🍫

If he could have dinner with any saint? St Joan of Arc—he’d love to hear about her experience leading an army as a young teenager and how she overcame the unique challenges of her mission.

His best advice for mentees: Sharing the Gospel is like a game of rugby—evangelisation and theology are the training that equips us to live out our faith through actions and words on the field. 🏉
