MY SISTER’S KEEPER

Sometimes we just need a space where we can come together as sisters, take the armor off, breathe, talk, laugh, heal, and simply BE.

On Wednesday, October 21st at 7:00 PM, I’m inviting my sisters to join us for My Sister’s Keeper: A Safe Space for Healing, Connection, and Community.

This gathering is exclusively for trans women. This is intentional—a private space created for us to connect with one another, support one another, and have real conversations in an environment centered on sisterhood, safety, and love.

We’ll have a support circle, grounding and mindfulness, food and refreshments, and we’ll wind down with a movie screening.

Wednesday, October 21st | 7:00 PM
1623 St. Ann St., Apt. A | New Orleans, LA 70116

Space is intimate, so please RSVP https://posh.vip/e/my-sisters-keeper?u=marqueldominique190&_t=mux4u8od&os=ios&src=event_page

…What a beautiful way to nourish the future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for July’s SATURDAYS @ NOAAM to share a feast by @lildizzyscafe504 , explore the museum, dance with DJ Say Trell (@say_trell), and step into Camille Barnett’s (@camillembarnett) portrait studio. Every conversation, every smile, and every familiar and new face made this day one to remember.

A special thank you to The Helis Foundation and the Art for All initiative for making FREE museum admission possible for Louisiana residents and helping us create spaces where community can gather, and thrive.

As we look ahead to August, we’re also celebrating Museum Month with New Orleans & Company ( @neworleansandco )!

While our team takes a well-earned restorative pause from full SATURDAYS programming, we’ll still open our doors on Saturday, August 15 with FREE museum admission and a special feature documentary screening - announcement coming soon.

Until then, thank you for helping us nourish the future, together!

I am truly humbled and honored to join this important conversation as a panelist for the BTQ Parenting & Family Planning Panel: Father’s Day Edition.

As a father, grandfather, minister, and community advocate, I understand the power of family, chosen family, love, and intentional community. I look forward to sharing in a meaningful dialogue about the joys, challenges, realities, and possibilities of queer and trans parenting and family planning.

I am grateful to the House of BGIU and the organizers for creating spaces where our stories, experiences, and voices can be heard, affirmed, and celebrated. I hope you will join us in person or online as we engage in a conversation that is both timely and necessary.

Together, we continue building a world where every family is valued, every parent is affirmed, and every child is embraced with love.
