Today is Transgender Day of Visibility! 💙💖💙

Today, we celebrate the lives and contributions of transgender people around the world. It's also a day to raise awareness of the challenges and discrimination the community faces, and to stand in solidarity with our trans siblings.

We must continue to educate ourselves and others about the issues that transgender people face, including poverty, discrimination, and violence. By recognizing and honoring the diversity of gender identities and expressions, we can work towards creating a world that is inclusive and safe for all.

To learn more about Transgender Day of Visibility, check out the link in our bio. Let's keep the conversation going and spread awareness every day! #TDOV #TransDayofVisibility #TransRightsAreHumanRights 🏳️‍⚧️💕🌈 #glaad

“Julie did an incredible job of providing hair and makeup to myself and my bridesmaids! They showed up on time and everyone looked gorgeous and was happy with how their hair/makeup came out. My makeup artist did an amazing job listening to the type of makeup I wanted. I really wanted a natural look that enhanced my features and did not want heavy makeup and she listened! I felt confident and beautiful all night.” - Helen

Thank you Helen! These reviews make my day 💕

We’re beaming over here at @cecinewyork that @theknot Gala has made its long-anticipated return.

Our Founder and Creative Director, @cecijohnson, spent the evening celebrating and reconnecting with and alongside her friends and colleagues throughout the industry. Did you hear? Weddings and all things events are back in full swing, and #TeamCeci is more excited than ever. ✨

Inside Look: The prompt for the writing wall was “Please share a note of gratitude, something you learned, a way you overcame or persevered through adversity”. @cecijohnson shared her words of wisdom— “No matter what comes our way, never stop chasing your dreams.” 🤍 Ceci

Follow @cecinewyork to see all of the posh, elegant, and unique designs that come to fruition this next wedding season. 💌

I’ve been asked a few times recently to share some handbags I’ve painted… and I realized I never shared photos of these! These were painted for a charity in collaboration with @_themrscollection… Brides, you MUST check out her clutches!! They are absolutely stunning, and SO well made. The brooches were completely stunning and my phone just did not capture the level of sparkle they had.

Here’s a little fun fact about this experience: I accidentally sent her the incorrect shipping address to send these clutches too! The house number was inverted (it’s the same as my phone number, so I ALWAYS have to double or triple check that I’m doing it right 🙄😂), so this package ended up at our neighbor’s house up the road… thankfully, they figured out it was meant for me and brought it over! I say this to people all the time, and I truly mean it: We have the best neighbors on our street ever, and not just because they bring us our mail when we accidentally give people the wrong address. (And by “we” I mean me. 🫠🫣)

Today, we honor those who lost their lives tragically 20 years ago.

To the brides who have had to walk down the aisle without a loved one there, the single parents who have had to raise their children alone, the parents who weren’t able to see their children grow up, and everyone else whose life was altered by the devastation caused by 9/11…

Today, we think of you all, and remember to hold your loved ones close ❤️🏙️
