The final session with the girls at Apex Academy in Ilford.

:so it’s time to put all the last four weeks skill development into use on a SNAG golf hole. Alternate shot format and lowest score wins.

The girls have been amazing to coach as they came out of their comfort zones, embraced the challenges each week and dared to fail in order to get better.

As always a BIG thank you to @muslim_golf_association for asking me to deliver and @golf_saudi for sponsoring the project.

As we approach World Mental Health Day, we’re continuing to ask our 2026 Spokesperson Leaders: “What does being genuinely heard mean to you?”

We’re spotlighting Asma Ajaz-Ali, Interim CEO of the @_themsf, who leads vital work tackling inequalities in sport and physical activity across Muslim communities in the UK:

💬 "To me, being genuinely heard means more than having a voice. It means knowing that your voice carries value, that your experience is respected, and that what you share has the power to influence decisions and create real change."

Stay tuned all week as we share more powerful quotes from our spokespeople!

What does being genuinely heard mean to you? Let us know in the comments. 👇

Hey parents, have you children aged 3 - 6?

When it comes to engaging your energetic young children in sports, traditional options can often fall flat. Many programs focus solely on competition, leaving your child feeling overwhelmed and disengaged.

With Daisy Golf Explorers, we believe sports should be an adventure, not a chore! Our unique approach combines bright, colourful, easy-to-use SNAG golf equipment with fun coaching sessions that build essential skills—like hitting, throwing, and kicking—while keeping it enjoyable for young children.

By focusing on early sports discovery in a supportive environment, we help children not just learn the fundamentals but also develop lifelong skills such as teamwork, confidence, and a love for physical activity; all of which will help them in their school life.

Your child deserves to explore sports in a way that’s engaging and fun!

After a bit of a break from industry events over the summer, it was so good to be back out there last week, catching up with old friends and colleagues, meeting new people and, as always, seeing so many members of the Women’s Sport Collective. ❤️

First stop was Birmingham for ‘Sport, Belonging and the Britain We Share’, convened by the Muslim Sports Foundation.

The conference itself was incredibly thought-provoking, exploring what we really mean by belonging in sport, who gets to feel that they belong, and why creating that sense of connection and inclusion feels more important than ever.

Then it was on to Emirates Stadium for day two of the ‘RAISE, Global Women’s Sport Conference.

The event felt like it had really stepped up again this year, superb speakers, genuinely valuable conversations on stage and in the breakout sessions, and a room full of people committed to driving the continued growth of women’s sport.

A huge number of incredible women took to the stage, sharing their experience, insight and ambition for where the sector goes next.

The Women’s Sport Collective was very proud to be Community Partner for RAISE, and it was especially lovely to see so many WSC members there across the two days.

It felt like a brilliant way to come back from the summer break, with more to look forward to over the coming weeks including Northern Grit; Northern Glory in Manchester on September 25, the inaugural Women’s Sport Summit Europe at Emirates Stadium on October 6, and Leaders Week at Stamford Bridge on October 7 and 8.

Look forward to catch up with more of you there.

Last week, we attended @_themsf Sport, Belonging and the Britain We Share conference at the iconic Alexander Stadium in Birmingham 🏟️✨

It was a fantastic day exploring how physical activity and community sport can help strengthen trust, foster inclusion and create shared experiences that bring diverse communities together 🤝💜

What really stood out was the focus on turning conversation into action, with practical insights into how organisations and leaders can create more inclusive environments and use the power of sport to build stronger, more connected communities 🌍🙌

A thought-provoking and inspiring day, with plenty of ideas to take away and build on 💡

Our Deputy Director, @sharminshajahan, recently attended the Muslim Sports Foundation’s conference, Sport, Belonging and the Britain We Share.

The event explored the role of sport and physical activity in building trust, belonging and social cohesion in a diverse society, and what this means for participation, system design and long-term engagement. From faith and football to systemic belonging, the programme provided valuable insights and opportunities for meaningful discussion.

Reflecting on the event, Sharmin said: “The day was a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues, hear inspiring presentations and take part in thought-provoking discussions. I look forward to building on these conversations and exploring opportunities to collaborate in the future.”

Sport is more than just performance.

Two days ago I had the privilege of being invited by @_themsf to join the conversation Sport, Belonging and the Britain We Share at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham.

A powerful conversation about sport, belonging, inclusion and the communities we build through sport. Because performance doesn’t happen in isolation. People perform better when they feel seen, supported and connected.

Grateful to the Muslim Sports Foundation for the invitation and for creating space for such an important conversation.

Proud to have been there representing @cobrockets

Sport. People. Performance.
