We’ve celebrated our Pastor with words, prayers, cakes, and plenty of love, but we had to add a “little” surprise to the list. 🤭

Pastor @thejacobodunlami , we are grateful for your life, your leadership, and the way you continue to pour into this House. Today, we get to put a smile on your face in a special way.

You deserve to be celebrated.

Happy Birthday, Pastor Jacob!
We love you, and there is nothing you can do about it!

Twelve years of transformation, growth, and grace! From Friends of the Word Ministry to Light Nation Church, we celebrate a remarkable journey of purpose and impact.

Thank you to our visionary leader @femilazarus1 for hearing God, staying faithful to the vision, and leading us into all that God has ordained. Here’s to the journey so far and the greater things ahead!

12 years strong. Light is shining brighter! 💡

I’m finally finding my way home. 🤭😍
As much as I wanted to serve, I didn’t know how to start again.

For a long time, I have been away from church.
Not completely away from God, I was still joining services online, praying, studying the word, having conversations with God. Trust me, He continued to meet me there.

But physical church? I barely went.
Not like a significant thing happened, looking back, I remember it was never a conscious decision. It happened gradually, one Sunday became two, two became several, and before I knew it, staying away had become my normal.

But then, God never stopped showing up, He didn’t stop loving me, He didn’t stop giving me visions, in fact the best visions and ideas so far came in these times.

But, He always left me with these words, “there’s more…”

It got me thinking, “God, what exactly are You doing? How do all these pieces fit together?, this more… how is that?”

Growing up, there were experiences that made me ask questions I didn’t know how to answer. Questions about God, people, why certain things were allowed to go the way they did.

I still don’t have all the answers.
But I’ve started learning something:

I don’t need to understand the whole picture before I take the next step.

And one of those steps was going back to church.
Believe me when I say, God can lead us into safe places, healthy relationships and communities that help us grow.

@lightnationph has felt like one of those places that I can call home.

There is something about being welcomed into a space without having to act like you have everything figured out.

Today, I reinforce my Stewardship to God and I’m reminded that there is still room; room to return, room to learn, room to grow, room to become and much more.

And if you’re reading this and you’ve been away from God, away from church, away from a community, or even just away from yourself for a while.

I hope this reminds you that there is still room for you. 🤗😍

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you come back. Sometimes, you just take one step, then another.

And somehow, you realize you’ve been finding your way home all along.

I know a pastor who is so intentional about the growth of his followers. Ladies and gentlemen, meet my regional pastor @thejacobodunlami A man of so much capacity, wisdom and a heart filled with love.

At the point where I needed to go back to God for total submission, he gave me a shepherd in the city of port Harcourt. In a space of two years I have been able to see significant growth and development learning from you sir.

Oh what a gift that you are.

It’s a privilege for me to capture this moment.

Thank you @lightnationph @lightnationglobal
