Track has given me a lot in the years that I have run. But the things I will take with me are the friendships and mentors I’ve gained along the way. I couldn’t have asked to end my track career with a better set of wonderful people. I have love for everyone single person I’ve had the pleasure of stepping on the same track with💜🤍. Track has taught me so many life lessons that I will take with me forever. To the end of an era 🥳 (and feeling old)#Gowarriors

The @waldorfwarriorsxctf men’s sprints and jumps group had a successful North Star Conference meet. We were able to compete at our best when it mattered most. Lots of personal and seasonal bests.

Robert Beal (@_theyluvrob ) set a 100m PR running an 11.25. He also tied his PR in the 200 running 23.1.

Robay Birri (@robaybirri ) ran a PR in the 100m of 11.42. He also set a PR of 23.37 in the 200m

Javontay Harper also set PR in the 100m of 11.28 and in the 200m at a time of 23.26.

Brunelson Dominique (@lilquizz ) shattered his 200m personal best by over half a second on his way to finishing 7th.

Marcel Smith (@iam_marcelsmith ) and Marquis Simpson were 5th and 6th in the high jump. Simpson also had a massive PR in long jump going 6.58m (21’7.25”) to finish 4th.

Not pictured, Nolan Reynolds (@nolan.reynolds2017 ) set a PR in the 400m hurdles to finish 7th. Nolan also got 4th in the javelin.

The 4x100 relay team of @_theyluvrob @jorgeolivo77 @robaybirri and @zayboss.1 ran a season’s best in route to a 2nd place finish and all-conference honors.

The 4x400 relay team of @zayboss.1 @jorgeolivo77 @_theyluvrob and @iam_marcelsmith finished in fourth place.

Overall we had almost every male sprinter set a personal best. They all were able score at least one point towards the team scoring. I am excited to see what next season holds for all these young men!

It has been a hectic couple of weeks for the @waldorfwarriorsxctf sprinters and jumpers. We finished up finals, went the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola Iowa, and then graduated seniors. I am happy with how the group is progressing as we are seeing improvements every week. Highlights from the meet include:

@iam_marcelsmith clearing 1.95m in high jump. He finished 4th out of 21 jumpers. He had some great attempts at 2.0 meters and I am excited to see him keep making improvements.

@jorgeolivo77 ran a season’s best in the 110 hurdles on his way to a 6th place finish. He is very close to putting it all together.

The men’s 4x100 of @_theyluvrob @jorgeolivo77 @robaybirri and @zayboss.1 ran a season’s best on their way to a heat win and a 4th place finish.

A special shout out goes to Summer Hayes who set a PR in the 100m she is getting better every week and I think she will see another improvement at our conference meet.

Most of the team is off this next week but we will take a couple of athletes to Mankato MN for a mid week meet. We will spend the next couple of weeks sharpening up for the NSAA Conference meet at Madison SD.

The Waldorf University sprinters and jumpers officially opened up outdoor season on March 28th at the Central College Dutch Invitational. I am happy with how we competed even though times were affected by all the sprint events finishing into a headwind. Highlights of the meet include:

@_theyluvrob opened well with a personal best in the 100m and the 2nd fastest time in the conference in the 200m. I am excited to see how he builds off this performance.

@iam_marcelsmith (5th place) and Marquis Simpson (10th) both opened up with top 10 finishes in the high jump. Simpson also jumped a personal record in the long jump with a jump of 6.05m.

@jorgeolivo77 placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles and 6th in the 400 hurdles.

On the Women’s side Summer Hayes scored a personal best in the 100m.

@brandi_peck9 opened up less than a second off her best time in the 400m hurdles.

After completion of the weekend @waldorfwarriorsxctf finished with three men in the top 5 of the conference 200m rankings (@_theyluvrob @zayboss.1 and Javontay Harper) and one woman (@pc.dynamite ). @lilquizz scored a TWO SECOND personal best in the 400m and is currently 4th in the conference. Both the men and the women ran competitive 4x400 relays to build some momentum going forward in the season!
