Peaks of the Balkans Day 2 【Valbone - Cerem】

執完嘢收營搵咗間guesthouse食早餐，食飽屙埋就出發！揀咗Variant 路線行，上到2000左右過一過Montenegro 返番去Albania。嚟到第二日，啲view暫時變化唔大，有啲特別但講唔出嘅特別，依家都唔係好諗起呢日嘅景係點，去到後段都急急腳落山。落到條村就搵位起營，附近有條河攞水，雖然頭先驚冇水孭咗2L落山🤡本來以為包場，最後有對couple臨天黑嚟到，完！

NEW: World’s longest coastal path 🌊 King Charles III England Coast Path 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ~4,350 km / ~2,700 miles | all info 👇

Officially opened on 19 March 2026, the King Charles III England Coast Path brings together thousands of kilometres of coastal @_thru_hiking, linking existing trails with newly accessible stretches of England’s coastline 💚

Along the way, you’ll pass medieval castles, old fishing harbours and coastal forts built to defend England from invasion. In Dorset and Devon, the Jurassic Coast really brings you back in time, with rocks recording around 185 million years of Earth’s history. Parts of the route follow paths once patrolled by coastguards looking out for smugglers.

The trail is divided into eight sections 👇

1️⃣ North East & East Coast: castles, fishing villages and cliffs
2️⃣ Lincolnshire: long beach walks and dunes
3️⃣ East Anglia: sandy beaches and paths through salt marshes
4️⃣ South East: the Seven Sisters and White Cliffs of Dover
5️⃣ South: harbours, river mouths and sheltered stretches of coast
6️⃣ South West - Channel Coast: along the Jurassic Coast to Devon
7️⃣ South West - Atlantic Coast: around Cornwall and along Devon’s north coast
8️⃣ North West: hiking along the Lake District in the distance

💡 Although officially opened this year, some stretches are still being completed. Check the National Trails maps for open sections and diversions, and plan around tides and ferry crossings where needed.

Peaks of the Balkans Day 1 【Theth - Valbone】

睇完forecast 決定延遲一日出發，由Shkoder搭車去到Theth直接上山。Day 1雖然都係多雲，但唔落雨當贏咗😌係上到pass大風又大霧，乜柒都睇唔到，吹到傻🫨不過已經行過呢個section，所以覺得ok～🤷🏻‍♂️仲可以睇埋陰天係點嘅樣😬

是日好似係最短嘅路程，fill完水再搵地起營，完！

LOFOTEN CROSSING – TAG 7 🇳🇴🥾
Munkebu-Hütte → Vindstad → Reine → Fredvang kryss → Selfjordhytta

🥾 ca. 18,8 km · ↑ 309 hm · ↓ 711 hm · ca. 8,5 Std. Gehzeit

Dieser Tag sollte zu einem der härtesten unserer gesamten Lofoten-Durchquerung werden. 🌧️

Glatte Felsplatten, marode Sicherungsseile, riesige moosüberzogene Blockfelder und kaum erkennbare Wege. Dazu Dauerregen und heftiger Sturm. Für die knapp 7 Kilometer bis Vindstad brauchten wir unglaubliche 5,5 Stunden!

Unser ursprünglicher Plan: Mit der Fähre weiter nach Kjerkfjorden und von dort auf einer kürzeren Wanderroute zur Selfjordhytta.

Doch die geplante Fähre hatten wir längst verpasst. 😩

Also musste Plan B her: Fast vier Stunden auf die nächste Fähre nach Reine warten, dort erst einmal aufwärmen und Fish & Chips essen. Anschließend nochmals 1,5 Stunden auf den Bus warten, 35 Minuten bis Fredvang kryss fahren – und von dort lagen noch einmal ganze 12 Kilometer Fußmarsch vor uns!

Im strömenden Regen, völlig durchgefroren, hungrig und erschöpft kämpften wir uns schließlich bis zur Selfjordhytta durch.

Erst gegen 22 Uhr erreichten wir endlich unser Ziel. Ein warmer Ofen, trockene Kleidung und ein gemütliches Bett – selten haben wir uns darüber so sehr gefreut. 🛖❤️

[Laugavegur Trail, Iceland — Day 2]
Hrafntinnusker to Álftavatn. 12 km, plus a few side quests that made this day unforgettable.

Waking up to -6°C isn’t easy, but seeing the first orange light touch the highest peaks makes you forget the cold for a moment. Dark volcanic ridges, endless patterns of light and shadow, and scattered snow patches turned every step into something worth stopping for.

Later, we found ourselves above a sea of clouds. Time for a long breakfast break, enjoying the cloud inversion without rushing anywhere. Eventually, we continued towards Álftavatn, pitched our tent near the hut and spent a few quiet hours by the lake, watching the grass move in the wind and reflecting on the day.

And just when we thought the day was over, we headed out for one last side quest. The views and evening light were simply insane. One of those moments when a landscape leaves you completely speechless.

These are the days I hike for: freezing mornings, unexpected views and the freedom to slow down and let nature set the pace.

Okamžiky, kdy výška a podmínky už celkem šťaví
— Cordillera part 6 —
Vyrážíme až když nás osvítí první paprsky. Je zimní období, slunce vychází až v 7 hodin. Dle Peakfinderu první paprsky dopadnou na náš campingplatz až v 9. Vaříme tedy ze stanu a balíme až když cítíme první záchvěvy tepla ☀️
Předchozí den jsme si rozdělili na dva. Dnes razíme do nižšího sedla těsně nad 5k. Z druhé strany je prudký svah a bohužel celý pod sněhem. Scházíme dolů dost opatrně, sníh je prachový a šlapeme takřka po slepu mezi šutry. Odměnou je pohodové údolí plné lam, kde je náš dnešní spací plácek.
Nízké teploty tu přidávají na náročnosti i u obyčejného filtrování vody, kdy trpnou prsty a je potřeba si dávat pozor aby filtr nepromrzl. Nakonec to ještě sichrujeme ÚV i chlorovými tabletami. Lamí přátelé totiž vylezou opravdu všude a zde se k tomu přidávají krávy. Jednomu býkovi musíme naznačit, že tenhle spací spot je pro dnešek opravdu náš.
Kolem projíždí bolivijec na motorce, asi to stádo patří jemu. Víme, že předchozí roky tu někdo vybíral hotovost “za přespání” uprostřed hor, asi na soukromém pozemku? Aktuálně nás jen zdraví a mizí v dáli tohoto nekonečného údolí
