Farewell to Nova Scotia 🍁❤️

The place that Lee spent his childhood is now one of my favorite places on earth. Sharing it with friends was magical beyond description. Don’t make me gooooo (the weather is in fact trying to keep me from going)

And with the end of July comes the end of three months of hanging out in person with Tolkien friends from around the country and globe! Whether it was Twin Cities for @westmoot2026 or SoCal randomly or for #SDCC2026 !
May the fiery red maw of GROND🐺 continue to burn in each & every one of us!

It’s always the people with no magic telling us what we can't do with ours. The Lord of the Rings community has always been and will forever be diverse and should strive for inclusivity. These stories belong to all of us and this wack concept of historical purism has no place here.

It's not like what I'm saying will ever reach Andy Serkis but I'm really disappointed that The Hunt for Gollum has taken this turn and that so many fans are defending a LESS diverse telling of a fantastical story?

Please take a look at the profiles of the people tagged in this post (actual Tolkien scholars) if you want well thought out explanations of Tolkien's text and the real historical influences on the Legendarium vs Serkis' nationalist malarkey.

In front of a LIVE! Studio! Audience! (....or something of the sorts.)

At @westmoot2026 , AthraPlay performed its first ever live show! What kinds of trouble can our fellowship get themselves into when unfettered from the ongoing story? What horrors dwell in the waters of Lake Evendim? Who is Matt Microwave? Find out in AthraPlay Live!
