Presenting the final room of VILLAGE MEETING, the Gallery at @hackneydownstudios. “The Gallery centred on the individual presence of each work, using the architecture and surrounding white space to frame their materiality, detail, and distinct visual languages. This created space for dialogue between object and possibility, inviting viewers to consider how each piece might translate into different contexts, uses, and rituals.” (Words by @operative___oversight @demi_oyey) Artists: @all____ears @andumasebo @apohli_ @danielswarilov @demi_oyey @ne_pop @ellen.hu.wy @wright_jane_ @lobna_sana @mo___tong @_tsykes Thank you to @amyc4rtledge and the whole HDS team for the support. And a huge thank you to everyone who showed up for the opening or during the exhibition week. We are sincerely grateful for the positive response!

PLUME by Theo Sykes @_tsykes Dariia Nepop @ne_pop DENIM—SYKES @denim__sykes H 10 × W 27 × D 21 cm Powder coated aluminium, acrylic Room Spray (30 ml) notes of Cardamom, Frankincense, Patchouli Produced in UK Plume is an atmospheric device that emits rather than extracts. Through light and scent, it sets or resets the space. Light and odour are spatially definitive, they mark occupation and orient the room. Here, they are summoned to act as they do elsewhere in the kitchen - as signifiers of transition a transformation. Plume inverts the extractor fan while upholding a fundamental kitchen principle: scent is informative, not decorative. Air is drawn through the slitted facade, guided over a scent cartridge and returned to the room. Its flow is directed by an articulated flap and paired with light dimmable across three registers. Plume introduces an aromatic fragrance for the kitchen, distinguished by cardamom, frankincense and patchouli. All objects are available for sale. It has been an incredible last week for us, and we are overwhelmed by the amount of attention, encouragement, and support we have received from all of you. We would like to thank everyone who joined us, contributed, and shared this time with us. A special thank you to our incredible hosts, @casabrivio — this would not have been possible without you, and we are deeply grateful. Throughout the week, Missing Objects unfolded as a shifting condition of the kitchen — not only as a space of production, but as one shaped by pauses, rituals, and the moments in between. Across the eight works, what emerged was not a singular vision, but a collective inquiry shaped through dialogue, proximity, and time. All the objects are available for sale. For purchasing, press or interview requests please contact us on: info@missing-objects.com See you soon for what comes next. 📸 @danielswarilov

The curators of Missing Objects: Gianfrancesco Brivio Sforza, Dariia Nepop, Caterina Pereira and Theo Janek Sykes. Missing Objects brings together designers, artists, architects and other creatives working in groups to reconsider domestic objects through absence. This second edition presented eight works by eighteen participants, taking the kitchen as its site of investigation. Across the exhibition, the kitchen is understood as a space of overlapping states: active and idle, visible and concealed, fixed and shifting. Missing Objects approaches these tensions by foregrounding what remains unresolved. This year, we consider: 𝙄𝙉 𝙍𝙀𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 (𝙏𝙊) A shift from the object to the space between. Works are placed and understood in relation to one another – how they sit, face, interrupt, or lean. Meaning is not fixed within a single piece, but formed through proximity and encounter. Materials respond to light, bodies move through space, and arrangements begin to suggest their own rhythms – at times quiet, at times charged. What emerges is something less defined, but more alive: a condition shaped in relation. Featured in visual: @haus_of_hu , @ne_pop & @_tsykes – design /delight 2026 West Bund, Shanghai 10–15 November 2026 Applications are now open through Sunday, 31st May. As 2025 draws to a close, Missing Objects begins preparations for its second edition at Fuorisalone, Milan Design Week 2026. The upcoming edition turns to the Kitchen—the symbolic centre of the home—where labour, ritual, politics and care intersect. It is within this charged space that novel objects will be proposed: works that question what is absent, overlooked, or yet to be imagined. Above—research selected by the participating designers.

𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣 - 𝗛𝗮𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂 × 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼 𝗦𝘆𝗸𝗲𝘀 & 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗽 London-based multidisciplinary design house Haus of Hu, founded by Ellen Hu, proposes a new design language infused with Sinophone sensibilities — bridging East and West, classical and minimal. In its first collaboration with designers Theo Sykes and Dariia Nepop, the studio explores how architecture and furniture intersect to create moments of encounter, transition, and ritual. Their work moves beyond object toward systems that shape the rhythm of domestic life. @haus_of_hu @_tsykes @ne_pop Ellen Hu, Theo Sykes, Dariia Nepop, CHARM/NOST, The Entryway Collection, 2025. Maybe everything needs time, longer or shorter than bringing analogue frames to light. I remember shared food in the heat of the bazar summer, cold water running through bare feet at the end of the canyon. I remember fast tunes of the drive through the step, galloping through the unknown flowery hills, the name of the horse - “Giraffe”, while facing once snowy mountains. I remember the words and voices, little gestures, curiousity weaved with uncertainty. Sunsets above the streets in their warm pink light, dancing and looking into the eyes of familiar strangers. Slowly getting a sense of time of knowing each other for almost a lifetime. Seeing people feel the depth of the present. Laughing or crying or staying still. Listening to the outside through whatever happens within. Probably what we remember has very little to do with the moment back then. But there are the frames, pushed through the light to the darkness of chemical mix and back to the print. They might know better, they might know nothing at all. I walk through the station, about to start another unpredictable turn. Here they are, the frames. Unfolding mysterious roll. 25

GENTLE REMINDER :::: Gentle Reminder is a space of olfactive recall. The atmospheric cell is designed to infuse a specific scent onto a fabric or diffuse it into the surrounding room. Smells are the most vivid signifier of that which is missing or invisible. Here, scents have been designed to acknowledge the interplay between both absence, the source of the smell, and presence, the act of deploying it.
To choose your scent is to recall your memory. :::: Theo Sykes, Luka Sykes, Alice Denim and Dariia Nepop H 50 x L 15 x W 100 cm
