Brandi Helferich-Lenio, 11 1/2, born October 10, 2014, currently of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully today in the loving arms of her person, Michael Lenio. Brandi was brought into our family on March 8, 2016 in Huntsville, Alabama by the amazing organization @servicedogsalabama and spent her life serving Michael as a faithful diabetic service animal and emotional companion. Brandi was known above all for her singular dedication for over a decade to Michael and bringing joy into the lives of all she touched and cared for. Brandi is survived by her person, Michael Lenio, and all her many people on all sides of Michael’s Lenio, Helferich and Polosky families. Brandi was preceded in death by beloved pets Atticus, Gus, Pearl, Lily, Honey, Rocky, Rex, Tank, Eddy, Big Charles and Gourdy. A celebration of life will be held each year on this day, May 1, by all who loved Brandi the most, wherever they are—remembering that Brandi will always be with us in spirit, blessing us with her ongoing sincere love, until we all meet again. In lieu of flowers, Michael welcomes donations in Brandi’s name, today and each May 1st, to Service Dogs Alabama, 8365 Mobile Hwy, Hope Hull, AL 36043, (334) 676-3733, info@servicedogsalabama.org or online at the link here: https://www.servicedogsalabama.org/donate-today. #servicedogsalabama
