My bad on the smudgy camera 🤦🏼‍♂️. @sbvikingshoops spinning business as usual thru their games in Fairfax’s annual Summer Classic … had them on my second of four games yesterday in the event. 📸 ft. Jeremiah Agbahowe, Chance Lawrence, and Chris Rupert 💥💥💥

Offseason energy different 💪🏿ITS JUST WORK #ChaseTheGrind #StBernardBasketball #CrossFitness

Two weeks removed from the season at St. Bernard College Prep and the gym is STILL full.

That says everything.

I’ve been proud of this group. The intensity has been real. The commitment has been real. The buy-in has been real. Nobody’s waiting around for motivation — they’re bringing it.

Group workouts matter!

There’s something powerful about suffering together.
Pushing through fatigue together.
Competing. Holding each other accountable.

That’s where culture is built.

The plyometrics?
That’s explosion. That’s vertical pop. That’s second-jump ability. Quick twitch!

The agility work?
That’s change of direction. Defensive slides. Game-speed reactions.

The bleacher work?
That’s conditioning and mental toughness. That’s when lungs burning turns into discipline.

This offseason isn’t about being comfortable. It’s about building habits that show up in February.

And let me say this clearly —
It’s not a coach’s job to chase kids down to get better.

Players should be chasing the grind.
Chasing development.
Chasing accountability.
Chasing growth.

The ones who run toward the work?
Those are the ones who separate.

Proud of the fellas. But we’re nowhere near satisfied.

Back to work Monday
