Thank you to everyone who attended last nights second ever -
Women’s Only Discussion & Date Night!

A huge thank you to the performers, venue @absurdvenue , and everyone involved who made the night happen. Once again we received a plethora of women’s essentials from shampoos and toothbrushes to pads and tampons. All of these donations will be sorted into care packages and provided to women who are surviving on the street. We could not provide any assistance without support from others in our community so thank you so much for showing that you care!

If you didn’t make it last night, here’s some of what you missed:

@myahilll sang two beautiful songs, one about feminine rage that the crowd loved!

@_uelnsofor shared a few poems about the struggles of being a woman and the beauty that comes with it.

@allisonbalcetis performed a vibrational improvised saxophone piece that pulled the room between waves and breeze.

@breevybes shared an open and honest testimony on what it is like being a black dancer in Canada and how difficult it can be to climb to the top of a racial barrier to become successful.

@4b.harm.reduction gave some insight on what harm reduction means and how people can learn to accept that drugs aren’t going away, it’s our education around drugs and our abilities to aid people in need that matters.

@solinalee_ & @juliazalkovic graced us with an amazing duet piece by Hyden. Both of these talented women have been performing and teaching for over 20 years, we were blessed to witness their shared love of classical music.

Thank you to @elstu.jpeg who took these beautiful photos so that we can remember the evening.

If you see yourself, drop a comment!

I encourage you to check out all of these talented artists profiles and follow them, get to know the kind individuals who help Edmontons artistic scene. If you didn’t make it to this event, I hope you make it to the next one! Follow us to stay tuned for the upcoming Arts collaboration and next Women’s Only Discussion Night!
