Friday: Im DJing @r.room_ at the @theescondite (a DTLA hidden gem). This is an indoor/outdoor event featuring DJs, vendors, tattoos, full bar, food, and more. FREE. 7pm

Friday: @shopheav3n is doing their annual pride party at the @globetheatre.la in DTLA. Heav3n to me is like the reinvention of the 1980's NYC club kids/limelight scene. I love it! 8pm

Saturday: @hikeclerb are hosting a black music month hike and soundbath led by @whoisumi. 11am

Saturday: One of the best monthly events!! @leavingrecords presents Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree. All ages park hang w/ live ambient and jazz music at Montecillo De Leo Politi in Elysian Park. FREE. 12 Noon.

Saturday: For my literary heads!! @everybody.world and @lareviewofbooks present an afternoon of readings. Featuring some great authors; including @allierowbottom (whose book Aesthetica is on my TBR list this year). FREE. DTLA Arts District. 4pm - 6pm

Saturday: @grandperfs is BACK! I feel like a lot of these free outdoor music summer events the music is kinda boring or trying to cater to families specifically. But Grand Performances really is unique and cutting edge; this saturday especially is for lovers of unique and experimental music (& poetry). Look at @culture_la’s story to get a better idea. FREE. 6pm - 10pm

Sunday: @wearebraindead is hosting a book fair at the Braindead Fabrications location in Silverlake. Featuring some amazing vendors; @skylightbooks(my fave bookstore in LA), @agoodusedbook, & more. 12pm - 4pm

Sunday: This event is a lil pricey at $50 a ticket, but it's one of the most unique events in LA. Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome at @mtwilsonobservatory. The LA Chamber Brass band will be playing inside of a literal 100-inch telescope all the way at the top of Mount WIlson. Everything about this is beautiful & breathtaking. Two performances 3pm and 5pm

Sunday: This will be great! The finale of Dustin Wong's @feelslikefloating spring residency; feat some of my fave avant-garde/experimental jazz musicians. Sunset at a historic arts ranch in Altadena. 6:30pm

Bonus: Past Lives is now in theatres. I'm callin it now; will be one of the best films of the year. GO SEE IT!
