Vestige is a parallel practice. A trace of something no longer there. Vestigium means footprint which is exactly what Georgie makes; an impression left by a body that has moved on.

The morning was nothing. A Saturday. Lego on the table. Coffees going cold. The dog underfoot. Nobody dressed for a photograph. That’s the point. The frames you’ll want in twenty years aren’t the ones anyone planned. They’re the rehearsal. The in-between. The second before she remembered she was being seen. She’ll grow out of the crochet top. The Lego will go in a box. The morning will blur into every other morning you didn’t think to keep. This is what Vestige is for. A record of who they were, while they were still being it @georgia.ezra

Everyone talks about the bride’s jewellery, but I wanted my husband’s pieces to feel just as special.

Each ring had its own story. A family heirloom black opal triplet, a custom signet featuring the Gibson family crest, and a wedding ring that was anything but traditional.

For me, groom’s jewellery shouldn’t be an afterthought. It should reflect who he is, where he’s come from, and the life you’re building together.

All of his pieces had a different meaning, a different feeling, and that’s exactly what I wanted.

So I’m curious… what would you do differently with your groom’s jewellery?
Would you keep it classic, add a family heirloom, incorporate a crest, or go for something completely unexpected?

I didn’t feel empowered, sexy or feminine in my pregnancy, I was uncomfortable, sweaty and irritable, but you wouldn’t know that from these photos. I had a vision for this shoot and @lianehurvitz_photographer brought it to life beyond anything I could have imagined. @_vestige_studio_ has a special way of finding magic in messy moments and this series really captures what kept me going for those 9 miserable months: @nicholasc._ right by my side, reminding me I was never carrying it all alone and that even when I didn’t feel beautiful, that something beautiful was happening.
