Hello September and goodbye to the last breaths of summer 🌻
So much friendship and music in August, plus had to include some late July gems.

@somergloom tinycam photodump, and some stray cell phone pics. I took some photos, but not as many as I would have liked to from the two days I was able to attend/play. So many great photographers and volunteers did take photos and video though, so I was able to just attend a lot of the sets without stressing about it.

So grateful for my bandmates, the opportunity to play with artists I admire at an awesome fest run by awesome people, and to see so many friends come out for this one (and make some new ones too)

Like all our favorite bands, Gloomlurker honors the past and illuminates the future. Their debut EP, Terror Absolute, reminds us that dark and heavy music is essential for capturing all facets of the human experience - grief, anger, catharsis, even hope - and shows us that there are still infinite ways to take what we love and reshape it into something meaningful and inspiring. - @interluxedistribution

@_gloomlurker plays @crystalballroomsomerville
Sat 8/8 with @ballast_band @hiroemusic @inmemoryofthom and @juniusmusic

Online tickets available at Somergloom.com and free-free tickets at @somerville_theatre and @crystalballroomsomerville box offices

Hi, we exist irl, and photographic proof of it exists because of @bigbabyintoyland, who takes excellent photos of people wearing black clothing in the woods.

We are playing a lot this Summer and Fall. If you're new here, please check out our 2025 EP, Terror Absolute. If you want a glimpse of what is to come, check us out live. We are playing all new material at our live shows now, have some exciting dates announced such as @somergloom, and a few more on the way we're excited about too. Thanks for listening and making being a band as fun as it has been.

2nd year of my clinical mental health counseling & art therapy program completed last week 🌷
I have felt so inspired by my the work of my peers and the folks I’ve had the honor of working with and their positive feedback of my approach and would likely not continue in school without those areas of light guiding me.

Artmaking is always with me, my friends are here, I’m immersing myself in shows, it feels like I can actually make it through this program - one year left including a thesis.

I wish my school did not have such a corrupt administration, I wish everyone could go to college if they wanted to and get paid for their occupation as a student instead of incurring massive life-altering debt, I wish programs did not ask that you sacrifice portions of your health to meet their expectations of performance, I wish it were safe for everyone to go college if they wanted to, I wish that no universities in Palestine had been destroyed instead of all of them.

Here’s hoping that there is always a chance to transmute the world through action much like we transform space with the engagement of materials. Showing up for your friends, mutual aid, inconveniencing yourself to show you care creates a cascading transformational effect you can count on.

I love you!!!

Thank you @c3_kile for the awesome photos of our drone set last month at Bit Bar.

Good news for both drone enjoyers and Gloomlurker full band enjoyers- two of us are playing a drone set at 2PM on 5/16 as @daydream__echo and then a full band set in the evening with all four of us. At O'Brien's (duh)

Thanks for coming out to see us in any of our configurations. New music is coming soon and we'll be playing a totally new set starting in May.
