The focus the first few weeks of this season were expectations and conviction. The Men of St. Thomas displayed their belief in those expectations to the tune of 75-47. Through moments of doubt they stuck to the process and saw the following highlights within Game 1:

The Eagles amassed 618 yards, including 416 passing and 202 rushing, while scoring six touchdowns through the air and five on the ground.

Sr. Pierce Jacobson completed 16 of 18 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns and added 54 yards and a rushing score.

Sr. Myles Stewart powered the ground game with 114 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries while adding four receptions for 47 yards.

Jr. Ben Creech caught six passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns, while Sr. Web Lewis added 85 yards and two scores.

Soph. Da’Metreis Guy-Pittman completed three passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns, helping St. Thomas finish 19 of 24 passing as a unit, without an interception.

Jr. Kolbe Keeler returned an interception 30 yards, and Sr. Kohen Alexander forced and recovered a fumble to create two important defensive swings.

Sr. Khairan McQueen and Sr. Dayton Dix recorded sacks, while Jr. Logan Bogar and Sr. Rylan Kimpson combined for 14 Eagles quarterback hurries.

Sr. Luke Garcia, Sr. Luke Branting, Sr. RJ Wilson, Sr. Eric Feighl, Jr. Landen Davis, along with the Offensive Line Unit all contributed to the success of the offense with key runs, catches, and pancake blocks.

Defensively it took the complete depth chart to finish the fight and secure the win. They forced a critical 4th down stop in the 1st quarter and forced the John Cooper offense into 12 third down situations across the course of the game.

Special Teams were highlighted by a blocked punt, first time varsity points by Frosh. Will Frels & Soph. Carter Texera.

The Eagles next travel to Episcopal High School on Friday, August 28th, 2026, at 7:00 PM CDT. Eagle Fight Never Dies!!!
