Doing things that scare me: Part 1.

Ahhh. Thank you Ciara, for inviting me up to sing a few songs with you at Walker World Summer Fest this past weekend. Seeing all those smiling faces and their laughter when i broke out into the mouth trumpet part was just so fulfilling. I loved seeing everyones eyes light up and it felt so good to be able to get my voice out there even if it might be a little shakey or off key. Thank you for supporting and encouraging our little duo together and thank you for helping me get out of my funk.

I also watched jumanji for the first time like, ever cause I've been too scared to watch it as a child. Seemed this part was fitting.

At Walker World i joined in on the drum circle and this gentleman comments on how my energy was appreciated and valued there. They commented on how i brought everyone in on multiple occasions and how my drumming kept bringing everyone back in sync. Even noticing how i kept drumming while performers were spinning fire even when everyone else fell off. I guess it is that simple. A simple beat to bring it all together. I never really thought i had that kind of impact. To someone i did. That feels good. Something so simple as carrying a beat could mean so much.

Shout out to that fan for giving me a Marylin Monroe effect. 😂
And shout out to everyone who made Walker World Summer Fest so incredible. Thanks to the coordinator, Addie, all the volunteers, the people who brought the drums, the musicians who filled the air, the artists who showcased their work, and the land for holding us up. So cool. Till next time.

About last weekend… 🖤🎵

Saturday- summerfest @_walkerworld was a whole adventure with art, music, fire, and a ton of different things to explore. It’s like a grown up playground.

Sunday- took the coolest group of teens to see @avengedsevenfold and @goodcharlotteband I got to watch these kids have the time of their life and Jude really came out of his shell as the night went on. Bonus, I managed to get in a little moshing myself too.
