This weekend, four of our teams traveled from the Sunshine State to the snowy city of Lynchburg, Virginia, to compete in the AMCA Preliminary Round of the National Tournament at Liberty University!

After advancing from regionals, our teams were facing tough competition. Nevertheless, their hard work and practice throughout winter break were evident in their incredible arguments during the tournament!

So much so that they received two top orator awards after Day 1!
Steven Abraham took 3rd.
Anna Barker took 4th.

Three of our teams advanced to day two of the competition!
Congratulations to our Octofinalists: Andrea Ruiz Bordas and Willow Sherman!

Our other two teams made it to the Semifinals, qualifying them for the Final Round of the National Tournament taking place in Kentucky this February!
Congratulations to our two Semifinalist teams:
Steven Abraham and Anna Barker!
Sheridan Munach and Samuel Collins!

We are so proud of all of our teams for the hard work they put into preparing for this competition, and we could not ask for better representation for UCF!

We will continue to cheer on our teams as they head to Kentucky for the Final Round of Nationals!

UCF REGIONAL RECAP:

Last weekend our program hosted the South Atlantic Regional, where five of our teams competed! Every team of ours at this tournament were first years, and they walked away with experience and awards under their belt!

After the first day, three of our members received a Best Orator Award:

Sheridan Munach, 1st Best Orator Overall
Samuel Collins, 2nd Best Orator Overall
Willow Sherman, 9th Best Orator Overall

Our team also had all 5 TEAMS ADVANCE, into the second day!!! We are so proud of the hard work each of our members had put in, to break into the second day!

We celebrated a team members 20th birthday (cake and candles Bobby🫡) as we went into rounds!

Congratulations to three of our teams for placing far enough to advance to Pre-Nationals!

Sam and Sheridan made it into the Finals, placing as runner up and 2nd Place Overall!
Bobby and Ethan took 4th Overall in Semi-Finals and Andrea and Willow took 5th Overall in Quarter Finals!

We cannot wait to see these members continue to go far during the Pre Nationals!!!

Thank you to our wonderful professor Dr. Fiesta for organizing this, with the help of our President, Shanel Moya Aguero and our Secretary, Sarah Yarger!

And thank you to all of the competitors who traveled to sunny Orlando, Florida for a perfect competition weekend!!

in honor of tonight being opening night of KOORAZY, i thought id just share some special memories of this incredible cast that truly is family. each year we get the honor to put on an incredible immersive theatre show, and each year we get closer and closer as family. there is not one rehearsal where i feel burnt out or not pushed with this company. this family honestly is the biggest blessing in my life, so my advice to any incoming or curious artists who want to audition for loud live, please do it. this family is the most incredible thing and this process is unrivaled. thank you @kenvsken_ for being the most incredible mentor and teacher, you have created unity and soothed the toxic competitive environment in south florida. you have created unity and support and have allowed us to take the incredible knowledge you have given us and spread it. thank you for being somebody who all 46 members of loud look up to, thank you for loving us so unconditionally and pushing us to our limits. ill let tonight and tomorrow speak for themselves, without further ado, here comes KOORAZY💜🤍🖤💚

i literally don’t have words to explain this experience. it all started two years ago when i got a white invitation card to loud live productions and i never could have imagined that the invitation letter i received was going to change my life. i have learned so much in the past two year of being in this company and i owe it all to @sir_kennethx57 he is genius behind all of these insane shows. thank you so much for constantly trusting me and allowing me to do what i do best and improv a tap solo (multiple times). thank you for creating a company that changed the whole trajectory of my career. thank you for giving me a family and a home when i didn’t have one. thank you for being my shoulder to cry on. thank you for loud live productions. i love you all so much and i can’t wait for next year.
