7 of our 2nd year students had the opportunity to exhibit their work from their recent tailoring project “1364”, a project involving a 6 week bespoke tailoring workshop by @juliomompo and was inspired by the history of the Drapers Company. The exhibition was held at The Drapers Halls in the City of London, an exciting and historically rich location. A huge thank you to the @draperscompany for their ongoing support of our specialist skill workshops.

This year’s “Rat Race” exhibition displaying our 2nd year’s workwear project outcomes. This project was about learning the history of workwear and how influential it is on contemporary fashion, learning about a garments humble origins, and the importance and challenge of designing with functionality in mind as well as aesthetic. All garments are handmade made by our students.

Our students have done a fantastic job here, with influences ranging from construction workers, gardening, Victorian prison wardens and prisoners, carpenters, cowboys and soldiers and many more.

A big thank you to @dsq_london for having us and continuing to support our students with this fantastic venue in the heart of the city.
