@marcuscoward.nbma of Wake Up New Bedford asks each member of VLF, “What does music mean to you?”
Here are the answers from the children of rebellion!

@_xoisthatyou - “I was one of those kids that didn’t like opening up to people. So it means a lot to me as far as expressing myself and letting people feel my pain without having to talk much.”

@508kenji - “Through music more than anything, I came to realize that if I spend the entirety of my young adult life chasing retribution as opposed to evolution, I will never become the person that the world took away from me in the first place”

@thatsjani - “Music is an emotion, I think it’s a language. Universally, everywhere you go around the world, everybody has a song. Because when you sing it comes from the soul. I think that’s something so beautiful.”

@keek_ohhhh - “Music is my common denominator. When I was a child I used to get in trouble a lot, so I was always in my room with nothing. I had found an old MP3 player that I used to hide, and I remember at night taking the batteries out of my remotes just so I could have something to do, and music was it. It helped me survive.”
