LAB MEMBER SPOTLIGHT🧠🧬🧪
Hi everyone! My name is Zoe Moreno, and I just graduated from Northern with a BS in Biology. I’m beginning my masters program this fall! My sister is on the women’s soccer team here at northern as well. As a first year grad student, I’m also teaching 3 sections of BI214 lab! I’m from LA, but my family mostly grew up in the Chicago suburbs. I have a puppy named Oscar from Puerto Rico, and I love the beach! My favorite technique in the lab is RPA because it works so quickly and specifically! I also love protein purification. It’s gratifying:).

The Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center (UMBTC) offers world-class research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Students can get real-world experience conducting research that informs the treatment care for patients with a variety of brain tumor types.
