@amnhealthcare’s PRIDE employee resource group is launching a new program – Love in Action. Each quarter our team members will take part in volunteer opportunities with LGBTQ+-affiliated non-profits, across the communities we serve. Our first Love in Action event was held in San Diego, where AMN team members prepped 878 meals tailored for clients of @mamaskitchensd.

Mama’s Kitchen provides nutritional support to San Diego residents at risk of malnutrition due to critical illnesses such as HIV, cancer, congestive heart failure, type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. Mama’s Kitchen strives to help their clients stay healthy, preserve their dignity, and keep their families together by providing, medically tailored home-delivered meals and nutrition education – all at no cost. Mama’s Kitchen recently served their 12 millionth meal. #AMNCares #pride

@amnhealthcare is a proud sponsor of Ronald McDonald House Charities (@rmhcsc). The Red Shoe Day event was a great success! So proud to work with people who not only do great work, but give back to the communities we serve. #redshoe

Today we took a break from our daily work activities to create 1,881 kits for unsheltered folks across our San Diego, Dallas and Boca Raton office locations. The kits include wipes, antibiotic ointment, bandages, a thermometer, and other items. Super grateful for everyone who helped! Excellent job @mercybenshetler, Charlita Zollicoffer, Bridget Dunnigan, Rene Brown, Phil Clawson. #AMNCares

Nearly 20% of San Diego County’s unsheltered are youth, and many are LGBTQ+ youth who can’t return home simply because of who they are.

This year, my friends from U.S. Bank and other community members partnered with HRC San Diego for the 11th MLK Day of Service and assembled hundreds of essential care bags for unsheltered youth and individuals who recently migrated to the U.S.

It’s always great to start the year with such a positive event that’s making a difference for our community. #dogoodtogether #communitypossible #mlkdayofservice
