I kinda love getting to do senior portraits, they are a huge deal where I come from in the Midwest. Graduation is such a rite of passage—a celebration of all the years of growing, learning, figuring things out, and making it to this moment.

And then, suddenly, you’re standing at the beginning of something entirely your own.

I love this age. The energy of it. The possibility. The feeling that the whole wide world is opening up.

It is such an honor to make these portraits for kids I’ve known since they were babies—to witness who they’ve been, who they are now, and who they’re becoming. There’s something pretty special about that.

What a beautiful thing to pause here, in these Appalachian mountains, and celebrate this next chapter.

Eighteen.
Graduated.
And just getting started.
