POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just over a year ago we wrapped shooting on This House. It’s weird to think that it’s only been a year since, but it’s been the best kind of whirlwind that I could ask for. Here are some beautiful BTS pictures taken by @artboysin__

The biggest thank you goes to everyone who believed and understood this story and project: to @hayden._ , who understood my intention and helped me bring it to reality with care, to @sorry.lori who gained telepathic abilities with me on set and brought my world on screen, and to @leexy26 who endlessly and tirelessly arranged and re-arranged this short until it finally clicked in one piece.

To my cast: @samanthawylee, @shelsun0808 and @vanessagonzalezegan . It was incredibly fun to experiment, play and witness your work in person and on screen. Thank-you for seeing something in the script and bringing these characters to life. <3

Thank-you to my producers @isitalicewang and @renee.foyy for giving me the space to freely direct and worry about nothing else - and to my crew for sticking around in a cramped house in the middle of the summer with no AC and what had to feel like a very odd script, haha. I couldn’t have gone to create this without any of you, and I am truly privileged to have worked with a team of talented filmmakers.

Thank-you to @canada.council and @ontarioartscouncil for making this production possible. I am fortunate to have been able to make my debut with support that enabled our team to have gotten the funding to bring this story to life.

And of course, my deepest gratitude goes to everyone who has attended screenings and supported me in this short throughout this process so far. I can promise you that it will only get darker, weirder and more unsettling from here on out. 😉

When @chevernybaluca brought me such a personal and vulnerable story about DIANA, I was nervous. I was so moved by something so intimate and engaging that I wasn’t sure I deserved to add my voice to the writing process. Looking back now, I’m incredibly proud I took that leap and became part of something so special. DIANA is an experience, and one the cast and crew deserve to be highlighted for.

A little different from my usual work, I’m grateful we were able to pitch this short film successfully and assemble a beautiful team of creatives, people who are not only deeply professional, but genuinely passionate about their craft.

DIANA is coming soon, with the teaser now live at @diana.theshortfilm, and more exciting announcements on the way!

Lastly, a special thank you to @holdthesaucefilms, @torontofilmplug, @safeandsoundpost, @packrat.ca, @viewfinder.ca, @letterfifty, and Breakdown Services for their support.
