Yesterday was one of the proudest moments of my life. After 50 years in the school system, my mother, Dr. Sharilynn Loche, retired and one of the school buildings was named in her honor. She has been a catalyst for both our family and our community. I’ve spent my life trying to make her proud of me, but today, I am so incredibly proud of her💐

First off I want to congratulate 3 of our strut La members Jhyia Davis I’m so proud of you for doing your farewell walk as the 2025-2026 Miss Cover Girl, Jordyan Johnson I’m proud of you for being Miss January and to Rori I’m proud of you for being the 2nd runner up. Second I want to congratulate to other new calendar girl contestants, and most of all I want to congratulate Zaria Carter for being the new 2026-2027 Miss Cover Girl. May God bless you and keep you, May he guide you throughout your journey. May give you peace, love blessings and a sound mind, and may he provide for you. Family, friends, and home! Another fun filled Welsh Roanoke hometown reunion in the books! I had such a great time, and I’m pretty sure I gained about five pounds! 😅 I didn’t get a picture with my homeboys but Im grateful for Jerry Thorne and his delicious oxtails and white beans, and @rineyrayprudhomme and that fiyah sauce! So mad I missed Net's famous tripe, but that punch was on point.! And let’s not forget the mouthwatering barbecue pork steak from @dugassamantha’s tent. OMG, I’m still so full! ❤️ God bless the cooks and Happy Father's Day to all.

Congratulations to our very own NSBE Chapter Secretary Rori Loche ( @a1.rori ), on landing a Summer-Fall Co-op with Abbott, a medical company, in Dallas, Texas!

Rori is from Houston, Texas, and is now a sophomore majoring in Cybersecurity. She is eager to get hands on experience in her field to better her knowledge for her future endeavors.
