🌺 The Guardians 🌺

The frames themselves are deliberate.

Who hasn’t seen their parents go downtown to buy those colorful prints in ornamental gold frames from the Haberdashery Street shops? I think most millennials can relate to seeing those frames hung in some corner of their childhood home.

In 'The Guardians', I wanted to reference that same aesthetic: rigid structures superimposed onto soft human forms, echoing the tension between how masculinity is constructed and how it actually exists. Their floral crowns challenge typical archetypes of the male guardian—no swords, no shields, just the quiet power of standing present, embodying both softness and strength.
