The world comes to Southern Africa this weekend with not one but TWO international arts festivals: theatre and dance in Harare, and music in Cape Town.

For something a little more intimate and a bit less global, on Friday there’s a hang out with the Boys Of Soweto and its fashion team in Braamfontein; the chance for a first listen to Mpumi Dhlamini’s new music project “Total Eclipse” at Untitled Basement, and a lovely weekend warm-up courtesy of A33.

But Saturday is the big one. Artist talks, exhibitions and open studios fill the Nirox Sculpture Park, while over in Obs there’s an afternoon of improv and vinyl at the Hundred Percent Cafe. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small will be joined by a deck of awesome DJs for Scorpion Kings Live at the FNB Stadium from midday.

One amazing region, one big weekend and so much to do. Enjoy.

Okay, so I found this place in Cape Town called A33 and I genuinely feel like more people need to know about it. It’s not just a cafe the whole space has this really cool creative, artistic atmosphere. From the music to the interior, it feels like somewhere you’d go to just sit, create, have conversations and take everything in. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels a little different from your usual Cape Town spots…put A33 on your list.‼️✨🎞️
