Tekulvi LPs have landed!!! Technically a month away before this is “officially” out. Pre-orders are still available on our bandcamp page. Tekulvi- “In Recognition of Your Significant Accomplishments” on vinyl for the FIRST TIME EVER!!!! Originally release by the mighty Divot Records on CD back in 2002. Recorded by @mikelust1 We decided to give this one the vinyl treatment and add two unreleased songs to it. Formed in 1997, Tekulvi—comprised of Chris Almodovar (guitar/vocals), Greg Sharp (drums/vocals), and Brian Harper (bass/vocals), later joined by guitarist Phil Nauman and bassist/vocalist Josh Browning—crafted a singular blend of jagged, discordant rhythms and emotionally charged songwriting. The band built a dedicated following, sharing stages with influential acts like Haymarket Riot, Shipping News, and Q and Not U. Their music, both intricate and raw, became a defining force in Chicago’s underground music scene. @tekulvimusic #tekulvi #chicago #postrock #divotrecords #midwest #mathrock #mikelust #indiebands #expertwork #smallrecordlabels #vinylreissues

We are incredibly excited to announce that our latest digital reissue, the 25th anniversary reissue of Chicago band Tekulvi's debut album "Who Knows Where We Are", is out now on streaming! A truly incredible record (even by Chicago standards), this one has been a long time coming, and it's an absolute shame this band isn't a household name when talking about the Divot-adjacent scene. Hopefully we can do our small part to help fix that. This edition has a completely unreleased track "Scroll the Lines", and features the rare B-side "Pugilistica". More on the way in a month, so stay tuned! "With swirling harmonies, hushed voices, and heartbroken climaxes, Tekulvi’s sole LP, “Who Knows Where We Are”, rode the turn of the millennium with finesse, perfecting their singular brand of post-emo with precision. 25 years later, we are proud to announce an anniversary edition that compiles the complete output of Tekulvi’s time as a trio, with the previously unreleased track “Scroll the Lines” and the obscure “Pugilistica”, from their debut 7”. From the non sequitur structures of "1094", "Euclidean", and "Chandelier", to the crushing heights of opener "Pop Culture" and "Tetrahedron", and the delicate melancholy of "Waiting" and closer "Objects May Be Closer Than They Appear", "Who Knows Where We Are" is a special record of a special moment in music, and it's about time the dust was blown off its jewel case."
