Three lines, all over a kilometer, in the desert.

Spent a week at the hole in the ground, rigging and walking some big ones. Quite an inspiring week with everyone pushing themselves and each other.

Thank you @schlitt_storm for getting this all going! And all the others who made this week a great one.

My fastest crossing was 45 minutes with two falls, and over a kilometer of continuous walking…but the send will have to wait.

Grateful for time with community. Reminded the strength in looking out for each other. Thanks for healthy reminders and some time on the line.

Just got this digital copy of the paper, and while it has a few errors in it, what a beautiful piece to remember this competition by. Huge thanks to all the athletes who made the trek out into the Rocky Mountains, y’all are what made this event what it was🙏

Creating opportunities and opening doors for the community is something we try our best to do with every project, and this comp was a huge first step for all of us involved. What a success it was overall! 🙌🔥

Can’t wait to share what UL has in store for 2026- we think the community is gonna be pretty stoked. More to come in the next month, but before then, we’re heading back to Lake City this weekend to perform again at their Ice Climbing Competition 🧊🧗‍♂️
@lakecityiceclimbs @lakecityco

Emile at the start of a 3km long highline. The film Absurdian documents every aspect of this monster project.

This is a very long time coming and easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I graduated with a bachelors in environmental chemistry from the Colorado School of Mines (at 34 no less). I simply couldn’t have done it without these humans and many more, you know who you are, thank you for being there in any way you were. I had lots of doubts along the way about what on earth I was doing here, but we made it. One more year and we’ll do this all over again with a masters in hydrology 💧🌊

Too many good memories, tons of friends, and the best of times. @ggby_fest was so amazing. We were blessed with sunny warm weather and the vibes in the desert were perfect.
