Next friday (16/10) @thegreatescapevr is screening at @bozarbrussels Will a great escape deliver these three geraniums from the dullness of their existence? Possibly. But as Nietzsche would say: 'Amor fati'. After appearances at Venice Film Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam, the geraniums return to Brussels, where their creator shed a lot of sweat to code them into existence. #existential #geraniums #bozar #virtualreality

Yesterday, within the framework of Advocacy Coalition 2026-2027 @advocacy.coalition and UA Days in Luxembourg @uadaysinlux , Art & Poetry Talk in Time of War took place at Cercle Cité. The event brought together artists, writers, curators, cultural professionals, diplomats, partners, and friends of Ukraine from across Europe for a conversation on the role of culture in times of war. At the heart of the discussion were questions of memory, identity, resilience, and international understanding. Through the perspectives of cinema, literature, curatorial practice, and cultural production, the speakers reflected on how art responds to war, preserves human stories, and helps keep the Ukrainian voice visible on the international stage. The discussion featured Iryna Tsilyk @iryna.tsilyk , Irena Karpa @qarpa , Marion Guth , Marta Czyż @martulious , and Radek Lipka. The evening concluded with poetry readings by Luxembourgish poet Philippe Schockweiler @brokensamowar We sincerely thank all speakers, partners, organisers, diplomatic representatives, and guests for their presence, openness, and contribution to this important dialogue. 🎤 Art & Poetry Talk in Time of War 🗓 8 June 2026 🕖 19:00 – 21:00 📍 Cercle Cité, 2 Rue Genistre, 1623 Luxembourg Join us for an evening that brings together discussion and poetry, connecting voices from Ukraine and across Europe working in literature, cinema, and contemporary culture. At the centre of the conversation is the role of art in times of war — how it responds to violence, carries memory, and continues under pressure, as well as its limits: what it can express when ordinary language is no longer sufficient. ✨Iryna Tsilyk @iryna.tsilyk (Ukraine) is a filmmaker and writer whose work explores everyday life shaped by war and lived experience. ✨Irena Karpa @qarpa (Ukraine–France) is a writer and musician whose voice reflects on identity, freedom, and contemporary reality. ✨Radek Lipka (Poland–Luxembourg) works in film programming and cultural dialogue, connecting cinema with public discourse. ✨Marta Czyż @martulious (Poland) is a curator and critic focusing on art, memory, and the visual representation of conflict. ✨Marion Guth (Luxembourg) is a producer working across film and immersive formats, exploring how storytelling engages with contemporary realities. The discussion is followed by poetry readings by Philippe Schockweiler @brokensamowar , where the themes of the evening take on a more concentrated form. Together, the conversation and readings reflect a broader condition: culture continues within the reality it responds to. This event is part of UA Days in Luxembourg 2026 — a cultural festival dedicated to art created, preserved, and defended in times of war.🇺🇦🇱🇺 Partners: @a_bahn @advocacy.coalition For more information, visit our website.
