Last week, we had the pleasure of spending time with Heidi, the founder of @a_longer_table, who is transforming the way we think about food waste in Cape Town. Heidi and her team are on a mission to reduce food waste, tackle food insecurity, and contribute to climate change solutions by repurposing surplus bread into delicious pasta and sauces.

Did you know that 1/3 of all food produced in South Africa is wasted? That's 10 million tonnes per year! Heidi's work not only rescues perfectly good bread but also creates sustainable food solutions that nourish our communities and protect our planet.
