“That's why music professionals like Rose are joining the community of working parents building the nonprofit Family Alliance in Music (FAM) @familyallianceinmusic , which helps facilitate studies about family life in the industry and offers support to working parents. It joins several other nonprofits in Nashville dedicated to helping families, like Ella's House, which helps young single mothers seeking a college education, the New Life Center with programs for fathers, and Tennessee Alliance for Kids, which supports foster kids and the families that want to adopt them” - @tennesseannews

There are still very real challenges facing parents and caregivers working in the music industry, especially those of us who spend so much of our lives on the road. I’m grateful to be part of this conversation and hopeful we can keep building an industry where having a family doesn’t mean having to step away from the work you love💛🎶

Thank you to @tennesseannews and @partonikusmax for telling this story 🏠

There is a specific stillness that takes over the @opry when a performance is this magical.

Standing by the stage watching confidante @iammaggierose deliver “Gentle man” is an exhibition in the finest traditions of American soul and roots songwriting:
sophisticated harmonic tension, lyrical sovereignty, and a vocal dynamic that moves effortlessly from a whispered confessional to a room-filling, stratospheric belt.

No gimmicks. Just pristine musicianship, an undeniable presence in tailored black, and an artist operating at the absolute peak of her vocal power.

A masterclass from the heart of Music City

🫧MEMPHO ARTIST SPOTLIGHT~ MAGGIE ROSE 🫧

It’s officially MEMPHO Week here in Memphis & DittyTV Concert Series Alum & Grammy nominee @iammaggierose can finally scratch playing @memphofest off her Bucket List!

Maggie will hit the Garden Stage at @radiansamp at @memphisbotanic on Sat 10/10 at 4pm!

Her latest album, “Half Moon”, out now via @oneriotmusic , reveals the rare magic of hard-won momentum meeting a creative spirit in peak bloom.

A bold artistic statement that embraces transformation, vulnerability & joy, “Half Moon “finds Rose at the height of her creative powers.

Across 10 richly crafted songs, she blends Americana, soul, rock & cinematic pop into an album that is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically satisfying.

Produced by acclaimed collaborators @lawrencerothman (Amanda Shires) & @thesilverseas (Kacey Musgraves), “Half Moon” builds on the momentum of Rose’s @grammys recognition while showcasing a fearless evolution in her songwriting.

“Half Moon” took shape through a charmed & fluid process that began with Rose, Rothman & Tashian meeting up every few weeks to write in Tashian’s home studio, taking advantage of his abundant stash of instruments (e.g., Mellotron, upright bass, a saloon-style piano).

Rose, who was 8 months pregnant at the outset of the album’s creation, gave voice to the complexities of womanhood, the sacredness of her closest bonds & the thrill & overwhelm of expecting her first child.

Six months after the birth of her son Graham, Rose headed to the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville & recorded “Half Moon” with an elite lineup of over two dozen musicians, finding the album’s true cohesion through the kinetic energy of people gathering in a room & giving the songs their fullest life.

Maggie has played the Grand Ole Opry over 100 times & also hosts her own podcast, @salutethesongbird where she engages in candid conversations with her female musical heroes!
