"when the moon is up
and the spirit is clogged
i raise up old bones
and examine the flaw

a magnifying glass
I press up to my ear
to listen for murmurs
that confirm what I fear:

a magician in heat
embues a filthy marvel
the cackle of clowns
on a buzzing blue marble."
